What is container storage and how does storage container rental work?
Container storage involves renting secure steel units for your belongings. Storage container rental provides weatherproof containers delivered to your location or stored at our facility.
Can I access my belongings anytime when renting a container for storage?
Access depends on storage type. On-premise container rental allows 24/7 access. BoxDrop Facility-based container rental storage can only be accessed by authorized personnel. Need your belongings back? We can deliver it within 48 hours.
Is container storage secure in the Leinster area?
Yes, our storage container facilities feature CCTV, secure fencing, coded access, and professional monitoring. All rental containers use heavy-duty steel with lockable doors.

Our 10ft container suits 1-2 bedroom apartments or small storage needs, while the 20ft handles 3-4 bedroom homes or larger commercial inventory. Both offer the same security and weatherproofing features.
What sizes are available and how long can I rent a container?
We offer 10ft and 20ft containers with one month included. Extend weekly for €125 (10ft) or €187.50 (20ft) plus 23% VAT.
How much notice do I need to give before having my container redelivered to me?
We ask for 48 hours’ notice (two full working days) so we can schedule a driver, load your unit, and confirm access at the destination. If you need it sooner, call our support line—we’ll do our best to accommodate same-day or next-day requests where the schedule allows. There’s no extra charge for standard 48-hour redelivery within our Leinster service zone; urgent or out-of-area moves are simply billed at the mileage rate shown on your quote.
Is insurance available (or required) for the items I store in a BoxDrop container?
Your rental fee includes BoxDrop’s structural and transit liability for the container itself, but contents aren’t automatically insured. Most customers either:
✔ Add our optional contents-protection policy (from €6 per €1 000 of declared value, per month), or
✔ List the container as an “outbuilding/temporary storage” on their own home- or business-insurance policy.
While insurance isn’t mandatory, we strongly recommend it for high-value items. Prohibited items—flammables, perishables, firearms, cash, etc.—cannot be stored or insured under any circumstances.
